Notice of Roadside Vegetation ControlSpot spraying on Dorrigo Plateau. The 2008 Control Program for Fireweed on land under the control of Council will commence 26th June. Spot spraying will commence on the Dorrigo Plateau on all roads identified as having infestations of the weed.
This work is subject to postponement depending upon weather conditions and other unforseen circumstances. Those farmers who utilise Council’s road reserve for crossing stock are advised to keep them moving at all times to ensure they do not graze affected areas. Those residents who are advertising No Spray Zones are requested to carry out control works in the near future. Lack of compliance will result in control action, by foliar application of herbicide, of declared noxious weeds by Council.
