This section answers some of the most commonly-asked library questions.
Library Facilities
Can I access the Internet?
Yes - You can use the library computers to access the internet free of charge during opening hours.
At all times you must adhere to the Clarence Regional Library 'Internet Policy'.
Can I use a photocopier?
A photocopier is available at each library for public use. The rates set for 2009/10 financial year are:
- A4 (single sided) 20c page
- A3 (single sided) $1.00 page
50% discount for concession card holders.
Can I use the computers and fax machine?
Yes, public computers are available for internet and word processing at all 3 libraries. As well a facsimile machine can be accessed. Ask the friendly library staff for assistance in using the equipment.
Lending Information
What can I borrow?
Members may borrow books, periodicals and audio visual items from all branches of the Clarence Regional Library free of charge.
What is the loan period?
The standard loan period is 3 weeks. You may request a longer loan period if required. Loans may be renewed by telephone or in person if not reserved by another borrower.
Where can I return items?
Loans must be returned by the due date unless they have been renewed. They can be returned to any branch in the Clarence Regional Library or after hours through the returns chute at the front of the buildings.
Library Membership
Does it cost to join?
Library membership is free to all residents and ratepayers of the Bellingen shire.
A membership card is issued to each borrower on joining and it MUST be presented whenever materials are borrowed or when the Internet is used. Replacement cards cost $3.00.
Signing of the membership card indicates acceptance of all library policies (even as they change).

Is the Library Catalogue on the web?
The Library catalogue is online www.crl.nsw.gov.au.
If you would like to place reservations via the web catalogue please ask library staff to give you a PIN.
